Anyway, here it's a DJ set from the one and only Large Professor, the legend himself, the Flushing Queens native, and producer of so many great themes, for example: Nas "It Ain't Hard To Tell", Akinyele's "Vagina Diner" album, or the Main Source albums.

And, here it's a DJ set that he did on 12.22.10, in memory of the hardest working on business: James Brown.

A lot of rare gems in itself.

another mixtape, from one of my top mixtape DJ's of all time: DJ Juice, from Trenton (New Jersey), not the other of the Bay Area. It's the #13 (1992, 1993 I think).

And I'm listening to it right now, and it's DJ Juice at its essence: a lot of raggamuffin, and passes from R&B to Hip Hop to classic soul in microseconds, mixes 3 songs at the same time, it's incredible.

I don't know why this DJ is not very known, because for me is in the top 5.

So, I know this mixtape is very rare and very hard to find, and that it could cost a lot of money, but I'll upload it. And if it's not downloaded many times, I won't upload many rare ones.

First up i would like to thank my fans, my fam & the DJ's for all the help and positive feedback to make this project a great success. The first release by DJ Books was a great success in 3 months we have more then 2000 downloads and still counting & a worldwide release with about 30 blogs posting the mixtape at the same moment. Now it's time for the second release. This one is a tribute to Stetsasonic by my man DJ ReMike. This is what he has to say about the mixtape:

Stetsasonic was a hip hop group that dropped 3 albums in the mid to late 80s (around the same time as Run-DMC was active). They're considered to be the first hip hop live band. After the group folded, heir frontman, Daddy-O went on to drop a solo debut and become a very in-demand producer, and their DJ Prince Paul became a part of reknowned hip hop group De La Soul. My reason for dropping this mixtape was that I felt that Stetsasonic's was forgotten and to bring it to the light. Additionally, the tape is part of SOUL's mixtape project. The project is meant to bring back the real original mixtapes & real mix DJ's. Big thanks to Shake from 2dopeboyz.com for the (2)dope cover! Anyways, enough talk let's enjoy!
